We are looking for an enthusiastic laser scientist or engineer for a research project embedded in the sFlash experiment at the FEL facility FLASH at DESY.  Within the project we exploit and further improve seeding techniques for FEL sources pushing the frontier towards complete control over the temporal coherence. The successful candidate’s main duties include the operation of a high-power fs laser system, different frequency conversion stages and an optical pulse transport system to provide the fs pulses required for seeding experiments inside the electron accelerator. Contributions to the characterization of the seeded radiation are also expected.
