RECOGNITION OF DIPLOMAS

Recognition of diplomas and qualifications obtained abroad According to the Law on Education of the Republic of Moldova no. 547 of July 21, 1995, the Ministry of Education is in charge of the recognition and equivalence of qualifications.

The procedures for evaluating and recognizing qualifications are regulated by national legislation and international conventions and recommendations of the Council of Europe, European Commission, UNESCO / CEPES. The procedures for evaluating and recognizing qualifications are facilitated by signing both the bilateral and multilateral agreements on mutual recognition of diplomas, scientific and academic degrees with CIS countries. If there does not exist any agreement in this area, the procedure is performed according to decisions, laws, and regulations, related to both international agreements and any other relevant documents issued by the Ministries of Education from abroad, and the countries of the Organization ENIC-NARIC. The length for performing the evaluation and recognition of qualifications is 1 month. Later, all the documents issued by the Ministry of Education are to be certified (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Justice).
