Business Development Circular & Bio Economy:
Job Description
• Writing high quality proposals to secure research and innovation funding.
• Working closely with LEITAT's internal research groups to understand their competencies and proposing relevant topics of interest to develop fundable proposal concepts in collaboration with them.
• Writing proposals specifically in defining innovation potential, impact, exploitation strategies with feasible business cases and implementation aspects.
• Drafting proposal budgets according to EC requirements and funding rules.
• Maintaining effective communication with proposal consortia members.
• To carry out promotion and networking activities mainly at EU level.
• Working efficiently in a progressive and supportive way with other LEITAT's departments and senior managers in administrative support tasks.
• Review and evaluation of proposals to ensure quality before submission to funding body.
• To attend thematic and strategic events and conferences.
Education:
Bachelor of Science (BS) - (Environmental Science, Chemistry, biology, biotechnology or others) or Engineer and MSc or PhD in Environmental Science, Environmental engineering, Chemistry, Biology.Candidate with background in environmental technologies (agriculture, food, bioeconomy, waste/water technologies, raw materials recovery, biotechnology and/or circular economy) will be beneficial but it is not a must.
Experience:
Profile and experience:
• Knowledge of EU funding programmes (H2020, Horizon Europe).
• Proven experience in successful writing, submission and management of EU proposals/bids.
• Proven experience in coordinating H2020 proposals/bids.
• Experience in sourcing relevant market data for developing and managing proposal submissions from concept to implementation with major focus on market exploitation.
• Knowledge on technology transfer and commercialization.
• Understanding of the administrative and financial rules (mainly for H2020).
• International experience.
Labour Competencies and abilities:
• Demonstrably high levels of accuracy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• High motivation and discipline.
