About
PhD Fellowship “Production and characterization of realistic atmospheric aerosol for health studies”
The Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences, Foundation of Research and Technology - Hellas, (FORTH/ICE-HT) is seeking applicants for one PhD fellowship in the context of the research project “Impact of Exposome on the Course of Lung Diseases (REMEDIA)”, which is implemented under the H2020 Research and Innovation Action.
Job Description
To conduct research in the framework of the aforementioned project "REMEDIA". The main objective of REMEDIA is to investigate the effect of the exposome and especially air quality on the course of lung diseases. The objective of this job is to investigate the chemistry that takes place in the mobile atmospheric simulation system that is used to produce realistic air atmospheric aerosols for the REMEDIA studies.
Location: FORTH/ICE-HT, Patras, Greece
Duration: 12 months, with the potential of renewal
Fellowship:840 Euros per month
Envisaged starting date: 1/4/2021
Requirements and Qualifications
The candidate is required to hold a ΒS and an MSc. in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, and must have been admitted to a PhD programme by a Greek University. Experience in atmospheric aerosols is required. Moreover, the candidate must be fluent in English.

Selection Procedure
Applications that are received on time will be evaluated by a scientific committee using the criteria mentioned above. If necessary, certain candidates will be invited to a personal interview with the committee.
The outcome of the selection will be announced on the website of FORTH/ICE-HT as well as on the website of “DIAVGEIA”.
